Meet the Doctor

  • Dr.
    Ruth Cohen

Dr. Cohen graduated summa cum laude from the New York Chiropractic College. Her practice has been evolving for more than 30 years and has incorporated her passion for athletics and performance enhancement.

Treatment strategy in her office is of course to reduce pain, but ultimately to improve function and provide the tools necessary for self-management and health maintenance. Much to the adage of “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” A great deal of time in the office is spent on performance evaluation and exercise prescription.

Her practice includes chiropractic, muscle/soft-tissue therapy, kinesiology taping, gait analysis and postural assessment and conditioning.

Dr. Cohen is also a well-recognized public speaker and educator.  She was the first woman ever to present a program at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Fitness Festival - the National Symposium on Natural Fitness, the largest sports Expo in the world.

Dr. Cohen is actively involved in expanding the awareness of the effect of the overuse of technology, both physically and mentally.  She is often out presenting a program on how to avoid Text Neck Syndrome and Digital Dementia.

In her free time, “Dr. Ruth” can be found on her horse galloping in the woods of Old Westbury and Old Brookville.
